motorway fully re-opened after fatal accident near Taunton
M5 motorway has re-opened in both directions this evening (Sunday,
November 6th) following a two-day closure between junctions 24
at Bridgwater and 25 at Taunton after a serious accident on Friday

morning and extensive repairs were carried out to the road surface

Incident commander Assistant Chief Constable Anthony Bangham
said: "We thank everyone for their support and patience and
this extremely difficult time."
He added: "Extensive work has been carried out to identify
those people who died and families are being appointed family
liaison officers to support them."
