A long-running Burnham-On-Sea charity celebrated its 25th anniversary with a special dinner and dance earlier this week.

Burnham Community Medical Equipment Fund has given £250,000 of equipment to needy people in the area since it was formed in 1986.

To mark its first quarter century, supporters and members of the charity gathered at Batch Farm in Lympsham for a celebratory dinner and live music from local group The Ketones.

The group’s Chairman, Tom Ashton, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We had a superb afternoon, looking back at a busy first quarter of a century for the charity, and were very pleased to be joined by 45 supporters.”

The charity’s founder member, Neville Jones, was presented with a bottle of whisky and his wife Margo a bouquet of flowers to thank them for their support by Mr Ashton and the charity’s Carol Davies.
