Met Office issues icy roads warning for Burnham-On-Sea area

Burnham-On-Sea motorists have been warned to expect icy road conditions overnight and into Tuesday (January 4th) after several hours of sleet and light snow.

The Met Office forecasts temperatures will fall in the Burnham area to -2°C, making roads slippery.

A weather warning has been issued for the area, stating: "There is a risk of icy patches on untreated roads until surface temperatures rise above freezing around mid-morning on Tuesday."

While there is a chance of further sleet and snow this evening, any accumulations are expected to be small.
