Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge residents will be able to have their say about policing in the two towns when public meetings are held over the next few weeks.

The quarterly ‘Have Your Say’ meetings give local residents a chance to influence what happens in their neighbourhood.

The Burnham meeting will be held at 7pm on Thursday August 4th at Burnham Community Centre in Berrow Road. At the previous meeting earlier this year, anti-social behaviour on the Rosewood Estate and cycling offences, particularly cycling on footpaths, were raised as priorities.

The Highbridge event will be held on Wednesday 20th July at 7.30pm at St John Ambulance Hall in Bank Street. The previous issues were drug use and associated activities in the Highbridge area plus anti-social behaviour in Highbridge town centre.

A police spokeswoman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The neighbourhood teams are dedicated to making your community safer and stronger by finding local solutions to local problems.”

“Please support us in this by taking the time to speak to us about community concerns, their causes and possible solutions. It is only by all working together that we can make a difference.”
