Brave Burnham couple’s 15,000ft leap boosts funds for town charity

-

More than £1,000 has been raised for a Burnham-On-Sea charity by two brave fundraisers with a head for heights!

Katie Panayi and Simon Murdie from Burnham’s Skye Bar have taken part in a 15,000ft parachute jump in aid of Burnham’s branch of the Coastguard Association.

They collected £1,035 in sponsorship after completing the adrenaline-packed jump from a plane above the countryside of Devon.

Katie told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We had a great time – it was a fantastic experience and we are happy knowing that the money raised will be going to help Coastguards when they need our help.”

Ian Jefferies, Burnham Coastguard Association Secretary, added: “We would like to thank Katie, Simon and all the customers of Skye Bar and the Galley Cafe for raising such a superb amount.”
