Parachute jump for Burnham-On-Sea Coastguard Association

-

Two staff members from Burnham-On-Sea’s Skye Bar will be making a 15,000ft parachute jump on August 5th to raise money for the Burnham Branch of the Coastguard Association.

Kate Panayi, Manageress of Skye Bar and Simon Murdie, the DJ at Skye Bar, will be travelling to Devon to carry out their first jumps to raise funds for the Coastguard welfare organisation.

Katie told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The coastguards do a great job. I’m excited about the jump and hope to raise lots of money to assist the Coastguard Association when they need our help.”

“Skye Bar will be coming up with several ways of raising money for this event so please come along and support us.”

Simon added: “Being an avid kite-surfer, supporting the Coastguard Association makes sense.”

Ian Jefferies, Secretary Burnham Branch CGA, added: “We thank Katie and Simon for what they are doing. It’s great that Skye Bar recognises that sometimes the people that are there to help you sometimes need help themselves.”

Anyone wishing to sponsor Katie or Simon can pop into Skye Bar or The Galley Cafe on Burnham’s High Street or call Ian on 07724 995631.
