Burnham-On-Sea police issue CCTV appeal after theft of petrol

Police in Burnham-On-Sea have this week appealed for help in identifying a motorist who stole fuel from a petrol station in the town.

They have released these CCTV pictures of a silver transit van which was driven onto the forecourt of the Esso service station in Oxford Street, Burnham, before £20 worth of fuel was stolen.

The theft occurred at 6.50am on Sunday 17th April.

"The driver of a silver transit van with index similar to W774 KTC filled up with £20 worth of fuel, for which no attempt was made to pay," a police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

"The man is described as white with short dark hair and wearing a fluorescent jacket."

Anyone with any information regarding this case should contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting case reference 076_11.

Police have released the photos in the hope of jogging the memory of a passer-by or local plerson who may know the identity of the van's owner.
