Huge crowds enjoyed an afternoon of live music during Burnham-On-Sea’s annual Picnic in the Park on Sunday (July 10th).
The Veroneka Big Band led the free event in Burnham’s Manor Gardens, and were followed by The Randy Swindlers, The Phil King Trio and Matt Wescott.
Organiser Mike Murphy told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The event was another big success, with the great weather bringing huge crowds of people out for the afternoon.”
“We had a fantastic line-up of music and the families enjoyed a kids zone, face painting, games and a bouncy castle.”
The annual event was organised by CADS, the Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts and Development Society, which holds several free music events every year for the benefit of people in both towns.
The next free CADS outdoor music event will be held on Sunday August 7th from 1-5pm when ‘Music On The Green’ is held on Highbridge’s Town Green. The event will include live music from the Lipinski Brothers, Rustique and On the Sunny Side.
