Burnham-On-Sea
Pier celebrates start of British Tourism Week

Burnham-On-Sea's
pier joined in a nationwide celebration to mark the start of British
Tourism Week on Sunday (March 13th).
The event, called Party On The Pier, included morris dancing
and entertainment plus visits from several local VIPs.
Burnham's Mayor and Mayoress, Michael and Maria Clarke, joined
Sedgemoor District Council's Chairman, Jane Moreton, and husband
Ian in enjoying traditional seaside fish and chips at The Pavilion.
Over 30 seaside piers across the UK joined in the event during
the weekend.
The Pavilion's Managing Director, Louise Parkin, pictured, told
Burnham-On-Sea.com: "It was great for Burnham's Pier to be
a part of this special day. We wanted to do our bit in promoting
Britain - and Burnham - as a tourist destination."
