A convoy of police rushed at speed through Burnham-On-Sea on Friday morning (February 25th), raising fears that a major incident was underway.

However, the convoy of motorbikes and five police vehicles – which made their way through town along Burnham Road to Highbridge, as pictured here – were simply taking part in a training session.

“Officers have been carrying out tactical driver training in recent days,” a police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
