Police have made four arrests following two burglaries in Highbridge during the early hours of Monday morning (February 21st).

The town’s Morland Social Club and Churchfield School were broken into by a group of men shortly after 2am.

Officers were called to the area and took four men, aged 22, 25, 27 and 29, into custody.

Police spokesman Martin Dunscombe told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Police were called to the Churchfield School area at 2.10am after a group of people was seen acting suspiciously.”

“It was found that burglaries had taken place at Morland Social Club and Churchfield School.”

Officers who were at the scene throughout Monday, as pictured, managed to recover some items of stolen property.

Mr Dunscombe added: “Four men from the Bristol area were arrested on suspicion of burglary and one on suspicion of possessing a controlled drug. They have been released on bail pending further enquiries.”

Police have appealed for any witnesses with information to get in contact via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
