Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge police go on the run!

-

Police officers from Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge pulled on their running shoes to take part in a fundraising event in Bristol on Sunday (May 15th).

The local officers were among a large number of police from across the region taking part in the Bristol 10km race, supporting Macmillan Cancer Support.

Pictured at the end of the gruelling race are, left to right, PC Ryan Dinham (Highbridge beat manager), Sgt Mike Tripp and PC Sean Searle (Burnham response team) and PC Adrian Jones, also from the Highbridge Beat team.

Inspector Roger Tolley told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “All four have trained hard and finished with good times and collected sponsorship for the Macmillan organisation, who are currently supporting the wife of a colleague who was recently diagnosed with the disease.”

This year’s event attracted some colourful dressed entries, with a man dressed in a gorilla suit, three men carrying a stretcher, a woman dressed as a banana, a cowboy, a man riding a cow and a woman pushing a baby in a pram crossing the finishing line!
