seafront restaurant in Burnham to close as owners retire
popular seafront restaurant in Burnham-On-Sea is set to shut down
next month when its owners retire after 28 years of serving up
teas and meals.
Porthole opened on the North Esplanade in 1984 and has been visited
by thousands of seafront visitors since.
owners Bob Poole, 68, and Sylv Poole, 63, will be shutting the
doors for the final time on October 2nd when they hang up their
told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We've really enjoyed running this
very busy restaurant for the past 28 years, but now it's time
for a rest."
