Burnham youngsters appeal for support at Comic Relief beach run

-

A dozen Burnham-On-Sea youngsters hope to collect a good sum for Comic Relief by holding their own fundraising beach run this weekend.

The girls, all aged 8 and 9, have organised the event which starts besides Burnham-On-Sea’s jetty at 10am this Sunday morning (March 13th).

“They will be running from Burnham jetty to Burnham Yacht Club and it would be nice to have a few people to support them by giving them a cheer,” one of the mums, Debbie Boardman, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

The children, who all attend St Joseph’s School, include Bryony, Lorna, Lily, Sophie, Lauren, Lucy, Chloe, Nelly, Katie, Bea, Maddie and Georgia.

They have also set their own online fundraising page here for those who would like to donate.
