Crowds turned out to see displays of roses and sweet peas at an two-day festival at Sanders Garden World in Brent Knoll over the weekend (June 11th and 12th).

The centre provided the venue for a Rose and Sweet Pea Show organised by members of Burnham and Nailsea Horticultural Societies.

Peter Burks, General Manager of the garden centre, said: “This was the eighth time we have hosted the show and it was a great success. We received lots of entries and hundreds of visitors came to see the displays.”

“People were able to see top quality roses and sweet peas, as well as other cut flowers and pot plants.”

There were also classes for large flowered roses, climbing/rambling roses, miniature roses, vases and bowls of sweet peas and fuchsias, begonias and pelargonium pot plants.
