Channel 4 to film cult TV show on Berrow Beach next week

Channel 4's cult youth drama Skins will be filmed on Berrow Beach next week.

A TV production company will be visiting the beach on Wednesday (30th November) between 10am and 6pm to film scenes for an upcoming episode.

"Having recently returned from filming an episode in Morocco, the production company needed a sand and dune based location close to Bristol with good road access - Berrow ticked all the boxes," Tim Mander, Sedgemoor District Council's Property Manager, who set up the agreement, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

He added: "It's great to have a mainstream popular TV drama using the beach as a location, bringing their crew into the area in the off-season. The council appreciates the publicity and the income generated."

Skins is an irreverent comedy drama from the makers of Shameless, which follows the lives of a group of raucous teenage friends in Bristol.
