The 25th annual performance by Brean’s Coastline Players has opened this week.

Sleeping Beauty is being performed each night in Brean Village Hall from February 21st until February 26th at 7.30pm with an extra matinee show at 2pm on Saturday.

The title role of Sleeping Beauty is being performed by Claire Hunter, while the King and Queen’s shoes are being filled by Joe Tohill and Liz Bailey and Prince Nicholas is Danielle Nelson.

Director Anne Allen told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’re delighted to be putting on this special show in our 25th year – it’s been fraught with problems, with three princesses and two principal boys dropping out in recent weeks, but we have fingers crossed that everything will go well this week!”

Other key characters are Deadly Nightshade, played by Linda Bond, The Dame (John Robinson), Zipper (Phil Crosland), Velcro (Pat Harris), Compost (Judith James) and The Angel (Joan Hart).

Seats are still left for some performances and tickets, costing £7 and £4, are available from Brean Post Office.
