A large crowd of supporters of St John’s Church in Highbridge braved wet weather on Saturday (June 18th) to attend its annual summer fair.

The popular event, which is usually held outside, was brought in under the cover of the church hall.

The fair was attended by Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge’s Mayor and Mayoress, Michael and Maria Clarke.

A large number of stalls were set up by local groups and individuals with the proceeds going to the church.

Reverend Sharon Crossman told Burnham-On-Sea.com the event had been a great success: “The weather meant some activities were moved inside but we still had a very successful day with lots of support being shown.”
