A weekly market returned to Highbridge's former cattle
market site on Sunday (October 2nd) after an absence of over two
Businessman Paul Stewart has re-launched the market next to the
fire-hit Highbridge Hotel.

was a good start - we had eight stalls offering fruit and veg,
fresh meat and food - and a good number of visitors."

Joe Leach, who has been pushing for the market to return for several
years, added: "This is a good day for Highbridge. It's great
to see this tradition return and the former cattle market being
used again. Our market town has a market again!"
