Burnham-On-Sea Swimming Club picks new captains for the year

Burnham-On-Sea Swimming Club has this week selected its new captains and vice captains for the 2011/2012 swimming season.

They are Aleisha and Beth Churchill, Edward Lupton and Tommy Davies (pictured).

The captains were selected by application and their duties include supporting the junior swimmers, attending competitions, supporting swimmers and helping to arrange social events for the club.

Team Coach Sarah Pusill said: “The swimming Club would like to congratulate these senior swimmers and wishes them a successful season.”

The club welcomes swimmers from the age of five as long as they can stand on the bottom of the 0.9m pool.

The club teaches and coaches swimmers of all ages and abilities and squad swimmers get the opportunity to enter many galas and competitions in the local area. For further information visit the club’s website here.

This Saturday will see many of the club’s swimmers competing against each other in its annual club championships at Burnham Swim and Sports Academy.
