Detectives are appealing for information after a teenager was robbed of cash during an incident in Burnham-On-Sea at the weekend.

The 18-year-old man was in Steart Drive on his way home from a night out during the early hours of Sunday morning (August 14th).

“Six men then approached him and robbed him of his wallet, which contained a quantity of cash and also van keys,” police spokesman Wayne Baker told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

The victim was taken to Weston General Hospital, where he received treatment for facial injuries.

Police have described the suspects as six black men with Bristolian accents, aged between 20-22 years, and all of slim build.

Two of the suspects were wearing baseball caps, while one was wearing a white tank top style jumper with a Mohican style haircut. One of the suspects was wearing a dark coloured Nike–style top.
