Burnham and Highbridge Town Council’s application to introduce the new sign in Jubilee Gardens next to the A38 has this week been granted approval by Sedgemoor District Council.

The sign, which will be almost one metre tall, will have a red brick surround and black metallic letters spelling out the town name.

It comes as the Town Council continues to press ahead with plans to replace Highbridge’s crumbling town clock in time for the Jubilee next year.
