Police have appealed for help in tracing a group of vandals who caused damage in Burnham-On-Sea at the weekend by smashing windows, damaging cars and kicking down walls.

Inspector Roger Tolley, from Burnham police, told Burnham-On-Sea.com that “a gang of up to 12 youths” may have been responsible for the damage, which caused damage to homes in Ashcott Drive and Ateyo Close.

Vehicles were also damaged in Berrow Road, Burnham, and Marine Drive, Worston Lane and Highburn Close in Highbridge, and graffiti was also scrawled over a wall in Briar Close in Burnham.

The incidents were first highlighted by residents on Burnham-On-Sea.com’s discussion forums at the weekend.

Police appeal for witnesses to contact them via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
