Dozens of wine bottles were uncorked when Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club held its annual wine festival on Friday evening (February 25th).

Armed with wine glasses, almost 100 local people supported the event and hundreds of pounds are expected to have been raised for local charities.

The popular event was held at Lakeside Holiday Park in Westfield Road and entertainment was provided by the West Newton Jazz Band, pictured.

“Over 60 wines from amongst the best wine-producing countries in the world were available for testing,” said Rotary President Frank Clegg.

The Rotary Club’s Wine Festival is a well-supported annual tradition that has been running in Burnham since the 1960s.
