A new Active Living Centre for residents over 50 is set to open in Highbridge today (Monday, April 16th).

The facility, provided by Sedgemoor Community Partnership, will be available at Morland Hall in Pearce Drive.

The centre will be open from 10.30am until 12.30pm and will include free refreshments.

Local residents over 50 are invited to come along and enjoy a number of different activities as well as meet other people from the community.

“The centre aims to provide regular activities, advice, learning opportunities and events to promote active living and improve well-being to people in Highbridge and Burnham area aged 50 and over,” the centre’s Richard Mathews told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

Free refreshments will be available at the re-launch and there will also be health promotions and displays on adult learning and leisure.
