Affordable art exhibition to be held in Burnham-On-Sea this weekend

A two-day 'affordable art exhibition' will be held in Burnham-On-Sea this weekend, showcasing a wide range of work by local artists that will be on sale at low prices.

Somerset Art Group is organising the event at The Bay Centre in Cassis Close on Saturday September 22nd and Sunday 23rd from 10.30am-4.00pm on both days.

"Following the success of last year we will be holding another exhibition of contemporary and traditional watercolour and acrylic painting," organiser Adeena Thomas told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

"In keeping with last year, we aim to keep our prices low with original art works priced from £10 to £75."

There will be over 100 paintings covering a wide range of subjects including local, international and rural scenes.

Two new collections will also be displayed called Fun At The Seaside and Holiday Memories.

Adeena added: "There will also be an opportunity to purchase high quality original watercolour studies framed in mounts, these are priced at just £10 and would make an ideal Christmas present."

Visitors can see the art in advance and reserve paintings for purchase prior to the exhibition via the group's website here. Reservations will be held until 12 noon on the Saturday unless prior payment is made.

A range of limited edition Christmas Cards will also be on sale, with all proceeds donated to Cancer Research UK. Free admission and parking.
