New
art and craft cafe plans unveiled in Burnham-On-Sea
A
new art and craft cafe could soon be opening in the centre of
Burnham-On-Sea if plans are given approval by the district council.
Burnham
Glass and Windows in Victoria Street has applied for full planning
permission to convert a former glass-cutting room into the new
facilities.
In
its application, the firm says: "We would like to split the
premises in half, keeping one half as Burnham Glass & Windows
Ltd and change the use of the other half to an art and craft cafe
where customers can make things from recycled and art materials
at the same time as meeting friends and having refreshments."
"Our
vision for the cafe is to offer our local community a competitively
priced, interesting venue to spend time with family and friends
with the option of being creative."
Sedgemoor
District Council is inviting comments on the planning application
until November 30th.
