Sackfuls of rubbish collected by Asda staff during Apex Park clean-up

Staff from Highbridge's Asda store have joined forces with local residents to clean up the town's Apex Park as part of a nationwide initiative.

During September every Asda store in the UK is taking part in a 'Big Litter Pick' by helping to clean up local public areas.

The Highbridge store staff collected five sackfuls of rubbish from around the lakes and main car park.

The store's Kim Blyth said: "We were pleased to collect so much rubbish and had fun getting out of the office for a while, even braving some rain!"
