woman rescued by crews on Burnham-On-Sea beach
Coastguards, hovercraft and lifeboat crews were called out in
the early hours of today (Thursday) to a person stuck on Burnham-On-Sea
The woman, who was in a distressed state, had become stuck in
soft sand and mud at around 3.10am near the town's Pavilion.
Station Officer Steve Bird told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The
call originally came in from the ambulance crew to a person in
difficulty on the tideline."
lifeboat was launched to locate her and two of the Coastguard
mud rescue team guided her to safety and to the waiting ambulance
