Fundraising beach walk from Burnham to Brean raises £700
for charity
Non-stop
sunshine provided perfect conditions for the 25 walkers who took
part in a fundraising beach walk from Burnham-On-Sea to Brean
on Sunday (May 27th) to support families affected by Alzheimers
disease.
The
annual Brean Challenge comprised of a 15 mile walk from Burnham
Pier to Brean Down and back.
Organiser
Mike Barsby told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We had 25 walkers and
most had family members or friends that are affected in some way
by Alzheimer's or Dementia."
"It
was a lovely mixture of ages, ranging from teens to seniors, and
a wonderful selection of enthusiastic dogs! The walk will raise
around £700 for the Alzheimer's Society. The weather was
perfect with a welcome breeze from behind us on our return."
