Christmas fair held in Berrow on Sunday (November 18th) raised
more than £700 for a local cancer support charity.
event, 'Shop for a Cure for Christmas', was organsied in aid of
Somerset Breakthrough Breast Cancer and attracted large crowds
to Berrow Village Hall.
Holly MacBeth told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We had a fantastic
day! There were 26 stalls ranging from on-site photo shoots and
jewellery, cards and Christmas decorations to scarves, cakes and
are so very grateful by the turnout we received and the support
we had on the day and the weeks leading up to this."
many kind people donated tombola gifts which were brilliant plus
not to mention the support received by our patron, MP Tessa Munt,
Asda, Gerber foods, Cadells Ltd, Burnham-On-Sea.com and Berrow
total, we raised over £700, which was brilliant as this
beat our last event in April of £400. We couldn't do this
without the support of the general public and it was so nice to
see so many people having fun and enjoying the day."
added that a further event is being planned for 2013 with the
date to be confirmed.
