Gig On Green won't be held in 2012 without sponsors
future of Berrow's long-running outdoor music event, the Gig On
The Green and the village's summer fete are hanging in the balance
following a public meeting on Monday night (August 13th).
meeting, which was attended by just three members of the public,
was called by Berrow Community Association, which organises the
events, following criticism about how they have been run.
Lynn Smith told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "It was agreed that Berrow
Community Associations Entertainments Team would not be
organising the Gig next year unless a sponsor or sponsors come
forward to help to turn it into a viable fundraising event."

happen in 2013 unless more volunteers come forward to help with

Berrow gig's future has been in doubt after this years event
made a loss of over £500, following a further loss in 2011
of over £800.
