Burnham tourist centre and Town Team link up to promote tourism

The community group that runs Burnham-On-Sea's tourist information centre is to work more closely with Burnham's Town Team to promote events that attract visitors to the town.

BIARS (Burnham Information and Rescue Support) and the Town Team are to co-ordinate events with the newly-appointed Tourism Manager, Ian Jefferies.

Beverley Milner Simonds from the Town Team told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "BIARS and the Town Team have several overlapping aims and it is obvious that we would want to work together for the good of the town. We will be building a calendar of events that bring residents and tourists into the town centre."

The Town Team is also continuing to work towards forming a partnership with Burnham's Chamber of Trade to promote business opportunities in the town centre.
