Classic
hot rods and trucks to thunder through Burnham-On-Sea today

Almost
80 classic American hot rods, trucks and classic vehicles will
thunder through Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday lunchtime (September
22nd) in a mass convoy for charity.
The
Blue Ridge Runners will be moving through the town at around 12.30pm in
a procession through Highbridge, then into Burnham via Burnham
Road and Marine Drive, passing along the seafront.
"With
horns blaring and a long line of vehicles on show, the procession
is sure to attract scores of interested onlookers," a spokeswoman
told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
The
vehicles will be on display at the Classic, Custom and American
Auto Show throughout Sunday (September 23rd) from 10am in a field
along the A38 between Pawlett and West Huntspill. This year's
event is raising money for BARB (Burnham Area Rescue Boat).
The
Blue Ridge Runners were formed in 1989 to link up motoring enthusiasts
from across the South West who own hot rods, trucks and other
unusual vehicles. Thousands of pounds are raised for local charities
from the group's events.
