A pensioner suffered injuries during a fall on Brean Down on Sunday (January 8th).

Burnham-On-Sea Coastguards and an ambulance crew were called to the Down at 9am after the elderly man stumbled over while walking along the outdrop into the Bristol Channel.

He was taken to the base of the Down by an ambulance 4×4, where he was also met by Coastguards. He was taken to Weston General Hospital for further treatment.
