Final call for Burnham and Highbridge Christmas lights contest entries

-

The judges of Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge’s annual Christmas lights competition have made a final call for entries as the entry period closes on Thursday (December 13th).

The Town Council is encouraging residents to illuminate their homes across the two towns and enter the contest, which will be judged by a group of town councillors.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the best displays in several categories in each town – best individual display (£25, cup and certificate), runner-up individual display (£10 and certificate), best group entry (shared shield and certficates) and best business window (£20, cup and certificate) and runner-up business (£10, cup and certificate).

Only those properties which have been specifically entered the competition will be judged and to enter, email the Town Council at lorna@burnham-highbridge.org by 13th December or write to Burnham & Highbridge Town Council, The Old Courthouse, Jaycroft Road, Burnham, TA8 1LE.

Cups and shields for the winners will be engraved and held for a year. They will be presented at January’s Town Council meeting on 7th January, 2012. Judging will take place during the week commencing December 17th.
