Coastguards called to walker after fall on Brean Down
Burnham-On-Sea
Coastguards were called to Brean Down this morning (Saturday)
to help a lady who had fallen and suffered a suspected broken
ankle.
A
team of Coastguards was called out at 11am to assist the lady,
aged in her early 60s, after the accident during a walk along
the rocky outcrop.
Coastguard
Station Officer Steve Bird told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The
lady was in a lot of distress and our team took her on a stretcher
to a waiting ambulance at the bottom of the Down."
