Flashing
lights cause 1am call-out for Burnham-On-Sea Coastguards
Burnham-On-Sea
Coastguards were called to Brean Down in the early hours of Sunday
morning (October 28th) to investigate a sighting of several flashing
lights.
A
team of five Coastguards was called out at 1am when a walker raised
the alarm after spotting the lights flashing on the north side
of Brean Down.
Swansea
Coastguards directed the team to the area described by the walker
and found the lights were coming from a bouy marking the River
Axe.
"This
was a false alarm with good intent," a Coastguard spokesman
told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
