Bumper
27lb cod reeled in by Burnham-On-Sea fisherman
One
of the heaviest cod to be caught in the Burnham-On-Sea area for
almost ten years was reeled in by this fisherman on Sunday (January
29th).
Local
boat angler Terry Garrett landed the bumper 27lb 2oz specimen
after launching from Burnham beach in almost perfect conditions.
The
fish was caught in the Bristol Channel using a cocktail of whole
squid and mackerel.
Terry
told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We have been having a better than
average winter so far with the fishing, but to catch a specimen
of this standard is a fish of a lifetime."
