BBC's Countryfile filmed on Burnham-On-Sea beach

TV presenter Julia Bradbury filmed on Burnham-On-Sea beach today (Thursday, 1st November) when the BBC's Countryfile team visited the town.

The crew attempted a small experiment to show low pressure storms can make water rise in river estuaries.

The show was filmed with the permission of Sedgemoor District Council, which oversees the beach.

Tim Mander, Sedgemoor District Council’s Property Manager, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "This is not the first time that the Bristol-based Countryfile team have filmed at Burnham."

"It demonstrates the ease of location from Bristol and the continuing assistance Sedgemoor gives to film crews. It is nice to have just a high profile national presenter visiting Burnham."

The episode is due for broadcast on Sunday 25th November on BBC1.
