Burnham's
Marine Cove to give away plants as it prepares for winter

Work
is underway to prepare Burnham-On-Sea's Marine Cove gardens for
the winter.
Volunteers are being sought to help remove bedding plants in the
seafront gardens on Saturday 27th October between 9am and midday,
when many of the plants will also be available to be taken away.
Community
gardener Jacqui Strong explained to Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Many
people have enquired what happens to the plants. Well, they usually
get disposed of, but if anyone would like to come to the gardens
on October 27th between these times and take some of the geraniums
away and over the winter for their own use, they would be more
than welcome. There are some Salvias with lovely purple flowers
still that may be of use for pressing."
She asked for volunteers to come along and help in the work and
added that Marine Cove is also seeking helpers to put the next
round of bedding plants in during the first week of November.
To help, contact Mrs Strong on 01278 436420.
