Marine Cove Gardens fun day this Sunday
Burnham-On-Sea's
Marine Cove Gardens will be celebrating 'Love Parks Week' with
a special day of fun this Sunday (July 22nd).
Traditional
games, refreshments and garden activities will be held in the
seafront gardens between 1pm and 4pm. The Friends of Marine Cove
will also have a stand set up during the afternoon.
Now
in its sixth year, Love Parks Week is this year focusing on access
for all to healthy green spaces.
"We're
raising awareness of the importance of parks and green spaces.
Love Parks Week is a platform for hundreds of independent event
organisers to join forces in the UKs largest celebration
of green spaces," explained one of the organisers.
Meanwhile,
on Thursday August 2nd at 7.45pm the Chalice Morris Men will also
be putting on a 30-minute performance in Marine Cove when residents
and visitors will be welcome.
A
series of Burnham History Walks will also be operating on Thursday
July 26th, August 30th and September 27th. Tickets cost £2.50
and are available from Burnham Information Centre on the seafront.
A
craft fete is also being organised for Saturday 11th August and
there are still spaces for more tradersto join if interested by
