Highbridge-based Curtain Call School of Performing Arts is offering local youngsters a taste of the West End this month.

Two West End workshops will be held on Sunday 25th November under the guidance of a pair of top names from the theatre wold.

The first worlshop, ‘Audition Technique and learn a routine from a show’. will last three hours and is aimed at those aged 14+. There are 15 spaces only, which cost £20 for Curtain Call students or £25 for non students.

A second workshop, aimed at those aged 9–13 is named ‘Learn a routine from a show’ and will last two hours. Spaces cost £15 for Curtain Call students and £20 for non students.

The workshops will be hosted by Paul Chantry, who has choreographed work for Sadler’s Wells, Les Enfants Terrible and The Merry Opera Company among numerous other shows. As a dancer he has performed in many venues, including Sadler’s Wells, Opera de Lille, English National Opera and Festspielhaus St Polten and for many top choreographers.

Rae Piper will also be holding the workshops. She is a principal dancer and Rehearsal Director with Chantry Dance Company and has danced both nationally and internationally at theatres including Sadlers Well’s, The Adelphi and the Tramway. She was part of the origioal and second year cast of the West End production of ‘Love Never Dies’ as Acrobatics Captin and Swing and has worked for Andrew Lloyd Webber, Cameron Mackintosh and Bill Kenwright.
