Police
appeal for witnesses after distraction burglary near Burnham
Witnesses
are being sought to a distraction burglary in a village near Burnham-On-Sea
on Wednesday (October 24th).
The incident occurred in the Churchlands area of Mark at around
3.30pm when a man visited a property and offered to do gardening
work and then asked to see the back garden.
He
gained entry to the property and later that day the victim discovered
her purse was missing.
The suspect is described as a white man, in his early to mid 30s
with short, curly dark brown hair.
Police spokesman Martin Dunscombe told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We
are investigating the incident and would like to speak to anyone
who saw the man in the neighbourhood that day or knows the person
responsible."
