doormen saved life of unconscious woman after Brean attack
bar doormen in Brean have recounted how they saved the life of
a woman who was left unconscious after being attacked in the village
Kilduff and Mark Powers, right, who work at Krackers Bar told
Burnham-On-Sea.com this week how they revived the lady before
first reported here,
the woman and a man were assaulted outside the McColl's shop in
Brean during the early hours of Sunday September 16th - leading
to police cordoning off the area, as pictured below.
explained: "Everyone had left Krackers following a quiet
evening - there had been no trouble whatsoever. When we went outside
to bring our signs in, we could hear a lot of shouting and commotion
further down the road outside McColls."

on by a man. We immediately ran down to see if we could help her
and managed to split up the commotion and then carried the lady
back to the pub to prevent her being targeted any more."

we called for an ambulance and decided that because she was not
responding to us at all that we would try and give her CPR to

added: "She was in a really bad way and I'm sure she would
have died without our help - she needed CPR straight away and
we did what was necessary."
lady was rushed to hospital where she is understood to be recovering
while the man sustained minor injuries. Three people were later
arrested by police as part of their investigation.
added that the incident did not start in Krackers and that the
family-run pub has had no problems this season at all. "We
