Dragon's Den style community contest to be held in Burnham-On-Sea!

Community groups in Burnham-On-Sea who are seeking funding will be able to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges during an event that will be similar to the BBC's hit TV show Dragon's Den next month.

Burnham and District Lions Club will be holding their 'Lions Den' event on Saturday June 23rd.

"It will be open to any voluntary or community organisation to present their ideas to a panel of five experts with the chance of winning financial support," the group's Les Barber told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

"It will take place on Saturday 23rd June from midday at The Princess Theatre. Each group will have a chance to pitch an idea or concept that needs support to our panel, who will ask questions."

The closing date for entries is Friday June 1st and selected groups will be notified by Friday 8th June 2012. For more information, and to register, call 01278 792534.
