Heavy rain fails to halt sponsored seafront walk in memory of Dylan Cecil

-

Heavy rain failed to halt a fundraising walk on Burnham’s seafront in memory of four year-old Dylan Cecil today (Sunday morning, September 23rd).

The sponsored ‘Teeny Tots Seafront Walk’ went ahead despite the poor weather, as pictured here.

Supporters, relatives and friends of Dylan walked along The Esplanade between the town’s jetty and pier to raise money for BARB, the Coastguard Association, RNLI and SARbot – the four charities involved in last month’s search for the toddler, who died after falling into the sea on August 19th.

Meanwhile, a day of fundraising music and fun will be held at Burnham’s Dunstan House Inn this Saturday, September 29th, from 12 noon until 11pm in aid of the same four charities. There will be a number of fun attractions plus live music from local groups including Vermin, The Ginger Hitlas and The Riverbrew.
