Dozens take part in traditional Easter race to top of Brent Knoll

Dozens of youngsters have taken part in the annual Easter run to the top of Brent Knoll and back.

The race is held each spring from outside the village's primary school and this year's event saw over 50 children making their way to the summit and back.

Each youngster collected a numbered lolly stick at the top of the hill and then returned to the school where they claimed an Easter egg.

Organiser Julie Rickwood, from the school's PTA, told "The race was very well supported again this year and we thank everyone who helped."

The event was held on the same day at the school's Easter fayre, when a number of stalls and attractions were set up in the playground - and there was also a visit by a rescue hovercraft from Burnham-based charity BARB.
