The candidates for January’s by-election in the Highbridge and Burnham Marine district council ward have been announced.
The election has been called after Liberal Democrat Joe Leach stood down due to work commitments, as first reported by Burnham-On-Sea.com here.
The election candidates for the seat on Sedgemoor District Council are Bill Hancock (Conservative), Ricky Holcombe (Labour), Helen Groves (Lib Dem), Purple Watkins (Independent) and Sally Williams (Independent).
The by-election will take place between 7am and 10pm on Thursday January 24th 2013. The period for candidates to come forward closed on Thursday.
