An art exhibition in Burnham-On-Sea that is focusing on the work of emerging local artists has proved so popular this week that it is being further extended.

The display of work from up-and-coming artists is underway from 10am-3pm each day at The Princess Theatre in Princess Street, Burnham.

It had been due to run until 28th but the number of visitors has been so good that the show has been extended into a second week.

“The exhibition is looking good and there have been lots of visitors. As a result, the exhibition is being extended and will now also open from Tuesday 30th July – Friday 3rd August,” organiser Sue Hammond-Lovatt told Burrnham-On-Sea.com.

There are more than 20 participants who are all students of Sue and Clive Hammond-Lovatt, some have been painting for many years and exhibit their work elsewhere others have only recently taking up their brushes.

This Saturday (28th July) there will also be an arts and craft fair at The Princess where some sculptures that featured in the outdoor ‘Denizens of the Deep’ art show at Apex Park will be on display.
